2) Nokia Lights Up London with 4D Projection featuring Deadmau5

 

 

 

 

On Monday 28th November Nokia Lumia 800 with Windows phone brought deadmau5 and the world's most advanced 4D technology together and created an amazing free light show at Millbank Tower, London.

Millbank was plunged into darkness with the iconic tower acting as the canvas for a never-before-seen spectacular. Each of the 120 metre high building's 800 windows were covered with vinyl as 16 powerful projectors, stationed 300 metres away on the other side of the river, beamed 3D images onto the structure.

Huge butterflies flew across the London skyline and the tower was twisted, pulsated and even fell down. Billed as the "future of live events" the spectacular show was accompanied by music from super producer deadmau5, who created exclusive remixes for the performance -- adding the 4th dimension.

4) Coca-Cola’s 3D Mapping for 125th Anniversary 

This is one mega 3D mapping projection to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Coca-Cola, it’s a great implementation for such a great occasion of a big brand lik Coca-Cola. The illumination features some of the most amazing Coca-Cola moments of the past 125 years, and it was done in Atlanta.

Concert stage, Sound & Lights plus heavy duty rigging  - Malaysia Concerts

Front of house sound consisted of a Midas XL4 and a Yamaha PM5D.

The technician behind the Midas XL250 used along with a Yamaha PM5D for monitors.

Main system employed twenty-eight EV XLine XVLS, twenty-eight XSub, four EV XLD (front fill), four EV XArray XF with four EV XB (for offstage fill) and sixty EV P3000RL amplifiers controlled by the EV IRISnet control software. Additionally, four EV XArray XN and four EV XSubs were employed for monitor fill.

Three new EV mics were used with great results. The EV Raven (left), the EV Cardinal (right), and the EV868.

LIGHTING

Lighting at FOH was controlled by two MA Lighting grandMA's.


WYSIWYG lighting program design by LD AJ Freysteinson. This was a design intended to not only satisfy the lighting designers of the headline acts but to also give other acts an 80's retro look during daylight and after dark.

3D Projections - Malaysia, makes for a cool events launch gimmick.
It allows buildings to move, transform and even communicate! A new advertising phenomenon is taking the world by storm. 3d Projection Mapping allows marketers and advertisers to create surreal landscapes by projecting images on objects. As you watch these videos, notice how much buzz is created as people record and take photos of the event via their mobile phone. For those of you who are not familiar with the term or marketing techniques.

3D projection for H&M in Amsterdam video

The other week, H&M flagship in Amsterdam was brought to life with a 3D projection mapping on the historic building. For over 3 minutes, you could enjoy a surreal fairytale of lights and magical effects. A red ribbon, wrapped around the building, untangled and transformed the building into a colourful dollhouse where nothing is what it seems.

3D Projection Shows Off Toyota's New Hybrid

A light show designed to advertise the carmaker's new hybrid hatchback.
To advertise the new Auris Hybrid, Toyota UK left the vehicle overnight in a “secret location” somewhere in Shoreditch, London. Passers-by were treated to a 3D projection light show visualizing how the car would generate energy for its batteries.

At least, that’s how the official line goes. The crowd who stopped to watch the car transform into a blue mass of pulsating energy? It seemed staged. And the visuals, while impressive, are confusing. The projections presented a car extending light lines towards nearby objects, leaving the impression that the Auris Hybrid somehow pulled energy from its surroundings.
A recap: Hybrid vehicles run on an electric-gasoline engine combo. As the car slows down or when the brakes are applied, energy is generated that is used to recharge the electric engine's batteries, cutting down gas consumption significantly. Those light tentacles may very well leave the average Joe with the wrong ideas on how hybrids work.
As a creative exercise though, those visuals were quite catchy—even if they may be misleading. Take a look at the video below:
